Tanya LukianovaTanya Lukianova was born in Moscow, Russia, and graduated from the Moscow State University, School of Fundamental Medicine. In her senior years at the university Tanya started her medical career abroad first working in Norway and then she moved to the United States. There she became a fellow with the Procter and Gamble Health Sciences program "From the molecule to the bedside" that allowed her to graduate from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. She had studied and worked for a total of 8 years in the United States and then she returned to Russia. In Moscow she received her Ph.D. degree from the Academic Council at the National Oncology Center.

At the same time Tanya enrolled in an MBA program at the American Institute of Business and Economics. She received her MBA with specialization in strategic marketing a couple of years after she had started working in the Russian pharmaceutical business. Tanya progressed along her career ladder in marketing at major international companies Novartis (Switzerland) and GlaxoSmithKline (Great Britain) and then she was appointed Country Manager Russia of the Turkish largest pharmaceutical manufacturer Abdi Ibrahim Pharmaceuticals that in Russia was named "Tripharma". Tanya launched this company in Russia "from zero" and in a little over 1 year this previously unknown Turkish start-up occupied top lines in respective product categories according to official sales ratings (RMBC and Pharmexpert). In 2006 a panel of experts at the Union of Professional Pharmaceutical Organizations in Moscow reviewed Tanya's marketing and sales practices and achievements. "For the late yet rapid entrance to the Russian market" the company was accepted to the Union of Professional Pharmaceutical Organizations as a full-fledged member and received the official "Professional Pharmaceutical Organization" status and diploma.

Tanya's core professional interest today is practical generation and development of all types of brands in the markets of Russia and CIS. For this reason together with her mentor Al Ries and his daughter and partner Laura Ries, Tanya runs a marketing and sales agency "Ries&Lukianova" Ltd.
